I'm embarrassed to say that last week was my first visit to the V&A and maaaaan I had seriously been missing out! I was completely inspired by the range of different pieces, from the chinese carvings to the guerrilla made out of coat hangers. Such a great place full of amazing architecture, art and textiles. I seemed to spend a lot of time in one particular room (photos were not allowed, boo hiss)where the infamous Alexander McQueen shoes resided next to a baby made out of cake, just as you'd expect.
I've also developed a massive craving to go to Morocco after seeing a room dedicated to the Moroccan culture in both the V&A and Harrods. The rich golds, reds, tiles and wooden interior has definitely influenced me and my interior taste. I am currently in the process of organising a house for next year so looks like a trip to Morocco is in order!
